Join the Blanket Sewers!
If you would like to joint the Blanket
Sewers, please call Frieda Popp (845-635-2783). They are not
sewing this summer, but will return in September. They meet
every Monday at 10 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
Our congregation has never forgotten our roots as an
immigrant congregation. For over 35 years a wonderful group of
women have met on Mondays at First Evangelical Lutheran Church
from 9:30 until 2:00 to make blankets for the homeless. The
blanket sewers have sent more than 5,000 blankets around the
world through Lutheran World Action. They work at the church
every Monday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. For more information,
